RAMONA, CA (March 30, 2026) – Children’s Paradise, Inc. (CPI), a leading childcare provider serving working families in San Diego County, today announced the start of construction on a new early learning center in Ramona, expanding access to high-quality, affordable childcare. A groundbreaking ceremony took place March 27, 2026, attended by many partners and community members.

Ramona facility expected to serve up to 230 children after it opens in mid-2027
A vacant Ramona retail space in a prime Main Street location is being demolished to make way for a 12,400-square-foot Children’s Paradise learning center. A March 27 groundbreaking for the $10.4 million project at 1721 Main St. was attended by community members and partners, including the San Diego County Office of Education, the California Department of Social Services, and First 5 SanDiego.

Founder & CEO, Julie Lowen Recognized by Brian W. Jones as a 2026 Distinguished Woman in California’s 40th Senate District / March 2026
The Senator’s Certificate of Recognition honored Julie with these words: “In special recognition of your unyielding dedication to the betterment of our community through your inspiring leadership as Founder and CEO of Children’s Paradise, expanding access to high-quality early childhood education and opportunities for families and children. Your vision and commitment continue to empower families and transform the lives of children throughout our community.”

Trade Tech High School, in partnership with Children’s Paradise Preschool, launched a Future Educator’s Pathway program to inspire high school students to pursue careers in child development. The program offers hands-on learning, field trips, and a dedicated classroom that replicates a preschool setting, with students gaining certifications and even earning college credits. With an impressive start of 26 enrolled students, this collaboration aims to address the educator shortage while preparing youth for rewarding careers.
